Eileen O’Leary

Senior Litigation Paralegal

Eileen is the firm’s Senior Litigation Paralegal. She has worked in the legal profession for over 23 years assisting clients throughout the legal process. She has a major in both Economics and Political Science, cum laude from the University of New Hampshire. Eileen was also recommended for and agended Harvard University her junior year to attend classes in law, politics, and international studies. She attended Georgetown University’s Paralegal program, obtaining her certification in Paralegal studies with the highest honors.

After working in various DC law firms, Eileen recognized her passion in helping others through difficult matters and counseling them about the legal system and what to expect with each case. Eileen then decided to go back to school and obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She utilizes her extensive knowledge of the law and medicine to assist in guardianship and conservator cases, contested probate matters, trust and estate litigation and general civil litigation.

In her spare time, she enjoys writing, spending time with her family, yoga, and gardening.

I’m not going to get into details here. I’ll just leave you with one thing. Would I ever go back and use this firm for other family matters? No, I would not. I didn’t have the confidence in them. That said, trust your gut.

I phoned Legacy Elder Law Centre from Canada regarding probate of an estate in Virginia. Spoke to the receptionist with a brief description of the services I needed to deal with. She was very nice and very helpful. She knew exactly who I needed to speak to regarding this matter and informed me she would give my message to Emily, who would call me back shortly.
Emily did in fact call me back shortly and listened to my questions and concerns and answered all my questions. By the end of the phone conversation I felt very comfortable with Emily and that she was the right person to help me. She listens...and she answers. She is very knowledgeable and she is amazing. It will be stress free and comfortable working with her.

My mother passed and ger affairs were in order. However, my siblings and I have little experience with probate and estates.

The staff at the Legacy Elder Law Center were excellent. Responsive, immediate appointment, superb job breaking down the process, which turned out to be easy for us. The main thing was it took time.
